“Coffee & Vanilla” is a 2019 Japanese drama adapted from Takara Akegami’s manga, blending romance and drama. It follows Risa Shiroki, a naive university student from the countryside, who falls for Hiroto Fukami, a charming businessman. Their passionate relationship navigates themes of love, trust, and personal growth amid societal pressures and misunderstandings. The series is noted for its stunning visuals, strong performances by Haruka Fukuhara and Dori Sakurada, and Risa’s character development from insecurity to confidence. With its engaging plot and relatable themes, “Coffee & Vanilla” stands out in Japanese television. The live-action adaptation aired weekly on MBS TV, featuring an opening theme by Good on the Reel and an ending theme by Airi Miyakawa.

The opening theme song is “You & I” by Good on the Reel and the ending theme is “Melancholic” by Airi Miyakawa.

Who is Good on the reel? 

Formed in 2005 by members who met at the same school.

A five-member band with a unique worldview created by heartfelt lyrics and melodies.

The band’s name means “something feels good.”

Since their debut in 2011, they have received an explosive response through word of mouth alone, triggered by listening devices, and tickets for their solo shows have sold out in a few hours.

After their major debut in 2015, in 2016, their Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall performance, the 50th performance of their independent live show “HAVE A “GOOD” NIGHT”, was also sold out.

In 2019, they will embark on a new journey as their self-founded label lawl records and Universal Music Artists LLC have signed a partnership agreement.

Who is Airi Miyagawa ?

Born on December 28, 2000 in Shikinejima, Tokyo.

In June 2019, she made her major debut with the mini-album “The World Beyond Smartphone Lighting”.
Her first single “Sissy Sky” was chosen as the ending theme for the anime “Detective Conan”. The music video for the song has been played over 3 million times on YouTube. In December, she successfully completed her first solo tour in Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka, “Atamatte Ikenayo!!!”

In January 2020, her first regular radio show AuDee “Miyagawa Airi’s Charemon!” (broadcast every Friday at 9pm) began. In June, she established the fan community “IRIS”, and in September, she held her first paid online live show “Re:rave”.

In 2021, she will be performing the ending theme for the anime “Detective Conan” for the second time with “Reboot”. In March, she will release her first full album “Reboot”. In July
, she will open her official gaming channel “Miyakawa Airi is the Noisiest” on OPENREC.tv.

Starting in April 2022, she will be in charge of the “Imareco!” corner of AIR-G’s “IMAREAL” (broadcast every Friday from 18:00 to 22:00) for the second and fourth weeks.

In April 2023, Ai Haibara covered “Sissy Sky” for a limited time, which brought the song back to attention, and she self-covered the song in an acoustic version on YouTube. In April and September, she held a limited event for the fan community IRIS called “Airi Fan Meeting,” where she interacted closely with her fans.

Miyagawa Airi, who will celebrate the 5th anniversary of her major debut in June 2024, has gained tremendous support from women in their teens to early twenties for her versatile singing voice and down-to-earth, unpretentious personality.
