He is not just an actor, after all.
Yamashita joined the entertainment industry at a young age. His agency at the time made him upskill and developed all his necessary skills: singing, dancing and acting. It was in 2003 that Yamashita’s career took a significant leap when he became a member of the popular boy band NEWS. The group quickly gained popularity, and Yamashita emerged as one of its standout members. His leadership qualities, combined with his vocal ability and stage presence, contributed to the band’s success. NEWS released several hit singles and albums, solidifying their place in the Japanese music industry.
While enjoying success with NEWS, Yamashita also pursued a solo music career. His debut solo single, “Daite Senorita,” released in 2006, was a massive hit, reaching the top of the Oricon charts, also known as Japan music charts and billboards.
The 「Perfect Storm」 is a theme song from the japanese drama “ Blue moment”, where Yamashita is also the lead actor. The music is captivating and talks about there are certain things in life we can not control but we can choose to fight for our dreams and Love. Although a soothing music with some quick paces , I believe the music could be even better with another beat.
